Awareness Week on the importance of physical activity

From June 08 to June 14, 2026, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation declared Awareness Week on the importance of Physical Activity. This initiative is designed to remind us how important regular physical activity is for our health and well-being.

An alarming statistic. In today's world, where technology makes our lives more comfortable but often less mobile, the physical activity of the population continues to decline. According to statistics, every fourth adult does not move enough. This is a serious challenge for our health!

Why is movement life? Physical activity is not just a way to keep fit. It is a vital component of our health, which brings great benefits. There are plenty of positive reasons to move more!

• Prevention of diseases. Regular exercise reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.

• Mental health. Physical activity helps to reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression, improves mood and overall well-being.

• Cognitive functions. Movement has been proven to improve mental activity, concentration, and memory.

• What will help us? Walking on foot. Exercise and warm-up. Outdoor games. Strolls.
