Calorie Counting Promotion Week

Calorie Counting Promotion Week

A week of promoting calorie counting has begun in Russia. The medical staff of the Krasivo sanatorium is joining a significant information campaign. It is noted that most people do not get enough physical activity in their daily lives. It is true that many of us do not need to expend a lot of energy or engage in strenuous physical labor. However, we have started consuming more high-calorie foods.

There is a significant correlation between excess weight and serious chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke, and cancer. Recently, it has been noted that Russians are consuming less fish, fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens, and more bread products, potatoes, and red and processed meat (sausages). We are also consuming excessive amounts of sweets, especially sugar. For those who are determined to lose weight, the doctors at the Krasivo Health Resort recommend keeping a calorie count.

The numbers must be recorded. At first, you need to be disciplined: get used to counting calories and entering the foods you eat in your diary before each meal. However, after 1-2 months, you will have a rough daily menu, and you will be able to determine your daily food intake without counting. Additionally, experts recommend avoiding fast food, confectionery, and planning your menu for the next day. Take care of yourself!
