Lung Health Week

Lung Health Week

The week from September 21 to 27, 2026, has been declared by the Russian Ministry of Health as a week dedicated to preserving lung health. In our time, an inattentive attitude towards one’s health is becoming increasingly common, which can have serious consequences. One common example of such inattention is the improper treatment or lack of treatment for colds and bronchitis, which can lead to the development of serious complications, such as pneumonia. Colds and bronchitis are often accompanied by coughing, runny nose, sore throat, and general malaise. In most cases, these diseases are viral and do not require antibiotics on their own.

However, if treatment is incorrect or not provided, the inflammation can spread to the lungs, causing pneumonia or other serious diseases. Complications in the form of lung inflammation can lead to severe coughing, significant weakness, shortness of breath, fever, and other symptoms that require serious treatment. To avoid complications, it is important to take your health more seriously and attentively, monitor the symptoms of diseases, and not neglect proper medical consultation when necessary.

Regular medical examinations and preventive measures can also help prevent serious diseases and the complications associated with them. Take care of your lung health!
