The week from September 14 to 20, 2026, has been declared Patient Safety Week and a campaign to promote health centers (in connection with World Patient Safety Day, which is observed on September 17). The medical staff of the “Krasivo” sanatorium are joining this important initiative.
Patient safety is a key aspect of quality medical care. Any form or type of medical care carries potential risks for patients. The patient’s active role plays an important part in ensuring their own safety when receiving medical care. Timely seeking of consultation, providing complete and accurate information about one’s health, and not being afraid to ask the doctor any questions that interest you regarding the diagnosis, treatment plan, and possible risks — all of this contributes to improving the quality of medical care. It should be remembered that maintaining a healthy lifestyle significantly improves health and increases the chances of recovery.
Health centers actively participate in promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, raising citizens’ awareness of methods for maintaining and improving health, fostering a healthy outlook on life, instilling respect for health and quality of life, and helping to develop motivation to give up harmful habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol, as well as to minimize the impact of other risk factors for non‑communicable diseases.
