Stroke Awareness Week

Stroke Awareness Week

In 2026, Stroke Awareness Week will take place from October 26 to November 1. It is приурочена to World Stroke Day, which is observed on October 29. This year, World Stroke Day is being held under the motto: “Every minute counts.” The campaign calls on everyone to join global efforts to recognize symptoms early and seek timely medical help. The medical staff of the “Krasivo” sanatorium are joining the information campaign – they are conducting lectures, discussions, and organizing screenings of popular science and documentary films on a relevant topic.

The events dedicated to World Stroke Day are aimed at raising public awareness about the problem of stroke, knowledge of the signs of stroke, and the procedure for taking independent action and the actions of those around a person, as well as at emphasizing the importance of providing proper and timely first aid, the need to undergo timely medical check‑ups and preventive medical examinations, and the need to correct risk factors and monitor physiological parameters.

In 2025, World Stroke Day will be held under the motto: “Raising awareness and stepping up efforts to prevent stroke.” Raising awareness about stroke, its risk factors, and the importance of timely intervention helps people recognize the signs of stroke and take prompt action. Prevention advocacy encourages people to take control of their health by leading a healthy lifestyle, giving up bad habits, finding a hobby, going for walks, and eating a healthy diet — all of which will significantly reduce the risk of stroke. Support for people who have experienced a stroke and rehabilitation measures can help them return to a normal life. Take care of yourself and your loved ones! Knowledge, prevention, and timely action are our main allies in the fight against stroke.
