The week from August 12 to 18, 2024, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation declared the Week of popularization of active sports. The sanatorium "Krasivo" joins the infocampany. One in four people in the world is not active enough. The World Health Organization (WHO) believes that insufficient physical activity is the fourth most important risk factor, accounting for 6% of deaths worldwide.
Low physical activity increases the risk of developing:
1. Coronary heart disease by 30 %;
2. Type II diabetes mellitus by 27 %;
3. Colon cancer and breast cancer by 21-25%.
Physical activity will have a positive effect on health only with sufficient duration and regularity.
How much do I need to move for my health?
Being physically active is not only about going to the gym or doing any kind of sport that requires a special place, equipment or inventory. Popular types of physical activity include walking, and a person must walk several kilometers – 10 thousand steps. Cycling, ice skating, sports, outdoor activities and games – this will help keep you healthy. It is better to start the morning with charging. When going to work, get off at least one stop earlier, and if you are driving, park it away from work. In this case, you will have the opportunity to walk. Be active and healthy!
